Corazon Clothing was created first out of necessity and then, as these things tend to happen, joy. I was a new mom and needed a ring sling that fit me perfectly. I didn’t want to spend a fortune and I wanted something that I really liked. So I started sewing and just like that it happened. I wanted to sew everything I saw – clothes, dresses, handbags, slings, showercaps, underwear…

That is when I started making my daughter these delicious fleece pants. She sported them into a local baby boutique and the owner asked if I was interested in selling them there, starting the baby pants revolution (okay revolution might be a bit of an exaggeration but they are really cool).

Pants were my main focus until my Mother-in-law came across a couple beautiful vintage aprons of belonging to her mother and aunt. I was so inspired that aprons have become my newest and most prominent sewing venture. I make them out of new, used, found, vintage and unconventional fabrics. A lot of what I create is custom – a pretty rad experience for me and my clients.
